Houston Juvenile Defense
Harris County Board Certified Juvenile Lawyer James (Jim) Sullivan represented his young client in the 313th District Court on a class A misdemeanor Trespass to a Habitation. His client insisted he was innocent. The prosecutor offered one year of probation and the judge probably would have agreed to a deferred prosecution. Attorney Sullivan did not think that was a just result as his client proclaimed his innocence. Sullivan persuaded his client and his parents to take their case to trial. As it turns out, it was not necessary. When Sullivan told the prosecutor he wanted to reset the case for a trial setting, the prosecutor dismissed the case.
